I began my journey into the world of chemicals around 2006, soon after my 4 ½ year old dog, Truxtun, became gravely ill. He suffered from autoimmune hepatitis, a condition that is unusual in dogs, and especially rare for Truxtun’s breed, Golden Retriever. His diagnosis led me to learn about plastics and synthetic rubber manufacturing plants, drinking water contaminants, and processed food chemicals and their effects on the human endocrine and immune systems.
